北海道函館市緑の島（豊川ふ頭〜青函連絡船記念館摩周丸前岸壁）
毎年海の日の前日に開かれる函館の三大花火大会の一つ。
1997年から続く歴史ある大会で、函館新聞創刊と海の日制定を記念して始まった。緑の島から花火が打ち上がり、豊川ふ頭〜摩周丸前岸壁の約600mがメイン会場。例年約5万人が訪れ、港町全体が賑わう。打ち上げ時間は19:45〜20:45。
