Higashi-Rinkan Summer Wa!nival
One of Sagamihara's four major festivals and a premier Awa Odori event in the Kanto region. On the main street in front of Higashi-Rinkan Station, about 40 troupes and 2,000 dancers from local groups, Tokushima, Koenji, and other regions gather for two days of passionate dancing. A 'niwaka-ren' welcomes spectators to join in. Around 150,000 spectators attend annually.

1992年（平成4年）に第1回が開催。もともと東林間自治会が主催する盆踊りが行われていたが、街の開発で空き地がなくなり盆踊りの場所を失ったことから、道路でできる祭りとして阿波踊りが選ばれた。以来、東林間駅前のシャンテ通りを舞台に毎年8月第1土・日曜日に開催。2024年は第33回、2025年は第34回として開催され、約3,000人の踊り子が参加する神奈川県有数の阿波踊りイベントに成長した。2026年は第35回を迎える。
