Shimotano Andon (Paper Lantern) Festival
The 'Shimotano Andon Festival' was held on March 14 (Sat) and 15 (Sun) in the Shimotano area of Minano. Five large andon lanterns, 400 standard andon, and 400 bamboo andon were lit, creating an impressive display that could be enjoyed at a leisurely pace.
