42nd Asakusa Yabusame
A horseback archery event revived in 1983 as an Edo-period New Year tradition of Asakusa Shrine. The two-part event features Kusajishi (11:45–12:45) and Yabusame (13:00–14:30). Mounted archers in Kamakura warrior hunting attire shoot arrows at targets while galloping on horseback. Kusajishi viewing is free.。
