Sagami Giant Kite Festival
A traditional event in Sagamihara dating back to the Tempo era (c. 1830). Japan's largest kite - a 14.5m square, approximately 950 kg 'hachiken' kite - is flown by about 100 people. Enjoyed at 4 venues along the Sagami River.
