Muku Shrine Oniyarai (Setsubun Demon Expulsion Festival)
The Setsubun 'Oniyarai' (demon expulsion) ceremony was held at Muku Shrine in Minano on February 3 (Mon). With cries of 'Fuku wa uchi, oni wa soto!' (Fortune in, demons out!), beans were thrown to chase away the red and blue demons, after which Fukurokuju (God of Fortune) and Daikoku-sama arrived and the Daikoku dance was performed.
