Nobeoka Daishi Festival
One of Kyushu's three great spring festivals. At Imayama Daishi Temple, grand Buddhist services and mochi-throwing events are held, while shopping streets offer 'osettai' (hospitality treats) to passersby. The climax is a city parade featuring about 1,000 participants including a feudal lord procession. Nobeoka's largest spring festival.
