Visitor Report
A tethered hot air balloon experience at the meadow zone of Lake Yamanakako Exchange Plaza Kirara. The rope-secured balloon gently rises 15-20m above ground, offering panoramic views of Mt. Fuji and its lake reflection from the air. Flights target the calm early morning hours from 6:00-8:00, resulting in minimal sway and stability suitable for families with children. Though the flight lasts only about 5 minutes including boarding, visitors praise the impressive sense of power and floating sensation. The inaugural September 2025 event sold out all 450 spots across 3 days, leading to the decision for regular operations. At 4,500 yen for adults and 2,500 yen for children, the reasonable pricing is also appealing. Many visitors combine the experience with hiking and hot springs around Lake Yamanakako, making it a notable new tourism activity in the Mt. Fuji area.
