The 65th Yorii Hojo Festival. A traditional festival reenacting the battle between the Hojo and Toyotomi armies from the Warring States period. About 500 warriors parade from Yorii town center to Tamayodo Riverbank, then perform battle reenactments in armor. May 9 (Sat) features the preliminary procession (Ujikuni Procession), and May 10 (Sun) the main festival with battle reenactment. Held against the backdrop of Hachigata Castle, one of Japan's Top 100 Castles.。
