Zama Giant Kite Festival 2026
A traditional event selected as one of Kanagawa's Top 50 Festivals. A giant Japanese kite the size of 100 tatami mats (approx. 13m square), weighing about 1 ton, is flown by 100 handlers. Also features medium kite flying, folk performing arts, sister-city product fair, daytime fireworks (May 4 only), flea market, and children's sumo.
