Magatama Matsuri (Jewel Festival)
A cultural and arts festival held on the third Saturday and Sunday of May at Sannomiya Hibita Shrine. Inspired by the excavation of an ancient jewel-making workshop, the festival features an evening of music and bugaku dance, traditional lottery, dance offerings, magatama (comma-shaped bead) making experience, with over 30 participating groups.
