第69回諫早万灯川まつり
昭和32年7月25日の諫早大水害で犠牲となった630名の冥福を祈り毎年開催される伝統の祭り。
本明川に約20,000本の万灯が流れ、約2,000発の花火が打ち上げられる。眼鏡橋のイルミネーションとの幻想的な光の競演が見どころ。
