The largest festival in Beppu City, celebrating the blessings of hot springs. Diverse events including the Ogiyama Fire Festival, Yu-bukkake (hot water splashing) festival, and mikoshi parades are held throughout the city. Held annually around April 1, 'Hot Spring Appreciation Day.'
